About Me

Hi there!

Athena’s Home Goods was started in 2021, and named after our beloved Bull Terrier, Athena.  She had a zest for life, and truly taught me how to live again.  It was through her, I learned how to begin enjoying all the things I loved.  She made me feel child like again.  And with that came the exploration of my love for sewing again.  

My mother introduced me to sewing at a young age.  She taught me how to make clothes, blankets, cross stitch, and crochet.  I loved making hand made, and 3 years ago found out just how far technology had come.  I purchased a Brother Luminaire machine, and I was hooked!  

I spend my time making custom embroidery pieces for customers, family, and friends.  From birth announcements, framed wall pieces, rag quilts, custom quilts, blankets, printed t-shirts, and custom hats, you can find me in my sewing room when I need to unwind and let my creativity flourish.  

We lost Athena unexpectedly, in December 2021.  And although she is not here physically her memory lives on in me.  I continue to live each day with a goal of finding joy and laughter in a world, that is not always kind.  Because that is what she instilled back in me…..joy and laughter.
